The home enjoys a lovely historic backdrop, adjacent to the Wickham Court manor house, which is now home to Wickham Court Preparatory School. This manor dates back to the fifteenth century and was the ancestral home of the Heydon and Boleyn families. It is famously said to be the setting for Henry VIII’s proposal to Anne Boleyn, the mother of Queen Elizabeth I. Today, Coloma Court is part of the welcoming grounds of The Daughters of Mary and Joseph religious order.
Just beyond are the scenic views of Wickham Court Farm, where horses graze in the fields, leading on to the landscapes of the Kent countryside. A short stroll will bring you to the variety of independent shops and cafes in West Wickham.
Our home is purpose-built and opened in 2007, featuring modern facilities that prioritise comfort while creating a warm and inviting atmosphere. At Coloma Court, we prioritise safety, with external CCTV and a friendly reception staff available during weekdays. The home is fully accessible, with bright and spacious communal areas that are perfect for engaging in activities and making new friends.
For added peace of mind, each resident has access to a nurse call system that allows them to reach out for assistance at any hour. This system is easy to use, so residents can feel free to enjoy the grounds, knowing help is just a button away. Coloma Court is well-equipped with everything needed to help residents lead active and fulfilling lives.
Our staff are thoroughly trained to assist with daily activities, whether that includes mobility or personal care. Wi-Fi is available throughout the home so residents can connect with loved ones, and we also provide tablets on each floor for making video calls.
