HMT Coloma Court welcomes new leadership team focused on independence and person-centred care

HMT Coloma Court has welcomed Steve Fullick as Home Manager and Nicole Turton as Deputy Manager, both bringing experience across social care, nursing, rehabilitation, dementia and complex care.

With a shared belief that people should be supported to live as independently as possible, Steve and Nicole are committed to ensuring care at Coloma Court, in Bromley, is shaped around each resident as an individual, including their preferences, routines, abilities, relationships and aspirations.

Steve brings more than 25 years’ experience across the NHS, private and third sectors, including leadership in nursing and residential care, safeguarding, neurorehabilitation and palliative care. A trained social worker, he is passionate about compassionate leadership and supporting people to retain choice and control.

Nicole began her nursing career in Barbados in 2000 and has worked across acute hospital care, surgical nursing, rehabilitation and complex medical care. Since moving to the UK in 2018, she has focused on dementia and elderly care, bringing strong clinical expertise and a commitment to evidence-based, person-centred practice.

For Steve and Nicole, independence does not mean doing everything alone. It means having choice, maintaining abilities and being supported to do the things that matter. Their approach also places strong emphasis on working with families, GPs, social workers and other healthcare professionals to ensure care is joined-up and centred on the individual.

Steve said:

“When someone comes to live in a care home, their life doesn’t stop. Our role is to support people to continue living that life as fully as possible, with choice, dignity and as much independence as possible.”

The new leadership team is looking forward to building on Coloma Court’s strong foundations and creating an environment where residents feel known, valued and empowered to live life on their own terms.
