It’s the start of spring! What happened in March?

Here at Coloma Court, we like to ensure that residents stay active, engaged, and connected to their passions throughout the month. Here’s a look at some of the exciting activities that have been keeping our community lively and involved during March:

Staying active is vital to our residents’ well-being, and armchair exercise sessions are a great way to help improve mobility and strength. Held three times a week, these gentle exercises are tailored to the abilities of our residents, offering them a fun and effective way to stay fit.

Our knitting club is a popular gathering where residents come together to share their skills, create beautiful pieces, and enjoy each other’s company. From cosy scarves to blankets, the club’s creative output is always something to admire.

Namaste Care is a soothing and sensory-focused program designed to promote relaxation and well-being. Offered three times a week, these sessions engage residents with a combination of soft music, aromatherapy, and tactile experiences to enhance their mood and bring moments of calm.

When the weather is kind, our residents love to take leisurely walks through our beautifully maintained garden. It’s a peaceful opportunity for reflection, fresh air, and enjoying the change into spring.

The arts and crafts sessions continue to be a highlight for many residents. These creative outlets allow everyone to express themselves and create something special.

Our choir group has been harmonising beautifully, and practice sessions are a fantastic way for residents to come together and make music. Whether it’s classic favourites or new tunes, our choir brings joy to all who participate.

The Men’s Club is a space where our male residents can socialise, share stories, and enjoy activities tailored to their interests. From discussions to practical projects, it’s a club that fosters friendship and fun.

This month, we celebrated the power of storytelling with our mothers in Literature talk. It was a interesting discussion about the role of mothers in literature and their impact on stories across the ages.

We wrapped up the month with a special event – our Mother’s Day Tea Party! Residents enjoyed a delightful afternoon with tea, treats, and entertainment. The day was filled with laughter and joy as we celebrated.

With so many activities taking place, we look forward to more shared moments and fun events next month!
